About the Park
Opened in October, 1989, this multi-use park is named in honor of Brian Piccolo, who developed his athletic skills at an early age in the parks and playgrounds of Broward County. He went on to become an outstanding all-round 1957-61 high school athlete at Central Catholic High School (now St. Thomas Aquinas), achieved football stardom at Wake Forest, and played five seasons with the Chicago Bears prior to his untimely death at age 26.
